My Isle of Golden Dreams, a work based on the artist early fascination to visit, as an explorer, a remote place that might or not exist.
The island become the idea of the journey towards a place impossible to reach. The religious hologram from Mexico City combined with the tiny island, just off the coast of Sardinia, Italy, is embedded with concepts of representation, the colonial power and the construction of our cultural imaginary.
The island is unreachable, questioning the veracity of the image; the authenticity of map making; the fantastical desires for reality and fantasy and the malleability of history.

WALLS
.
. .
Walls, nothing is more solid or secure.
However, Walls,
looks at the contrary. Solidity is destroyed and safety becomes danger.
Furthermore these walls don’t defend anybody or anything. The effect created is of a journey in which one proceeds forward, moving reluctantly and encouraging us to reflect on that which
isn’t apparent and that which separates us.
Walls are not mirrors, they can do much more. They want to watch us, interrogate us and give us their responses. In this sense the world is like the mind. Time is nonexistent and in suspense. Things remain in moments of anticipation, becoming more memorable than measured time.
The relationship between man and nature develops throughout the scene collecting all contrasting aspects of harmony.
